And then there’s that moment where you just have to stop, say “Wait, what am I so afraid of?” and take a step forward without worrying what could go wrong.
Things could end horribly, people may question you and call you out. Or they could be AMAZING, and no one would hate you for showing yourself.
More often than not it’s the second one. So take a deep breath, stop living in the shadows, and the feeling you’ll get when you see it’s alright afterwards? Not only is it incredibly but it’ll give you the confidence to do it more and more.
All you have to do is be brave and know who YOU are, not what other people think you are.

I don’t know if canon Quinn is a lesbian. Glee has never defined her sexuality in absolute terms, but left us to assume she’s straight because she’s only been shown to date boys.
That being said, there has been enough subtext and throwaway lines and odd moments/writing choices to allow me (and many others) to believe that Quinn may not be entirely straight, or is completely gay.
I could point out the countless occurrences of ‘eye sex’ in Quinn’s scenes with other girls - checking out Rachel and licking her lips during the regionals performance in Season 1, checking out the brunette’s ass in the hallway in Season 2, the lip licking with Rachel under the bleachers in Season 3 - but I feel like all of that may be more a result of Dianna Agron’s acting choices. lol. :)
(Sub)textually, there were the pornographic pictures of Rachel in the bathroom, the ‘fantasy’ of being surrounded by girls during You Keep Me Hanging On (not to mention the odd song choice to sing as an answer to Rachel,) the hearts drawn around Rachel’s picture in the Power of Madonna, the Glist putting Santana above any guy for hotness, “not thatinto that” (that, being a threesome with Brittana) instead of just not into it at all, being “not interested in the boys” this year, rattling off the bible evidence to prove Jesus never said anything about gay people like she’d researched it, guaranteeing Joe that he’d met a gay person, and the giant WTF moment in On My Way with the “singing to Finn and only Finn” question.
Granted, none of those things necessarily mean that Quinn is gay, but they sure do lend to that interpretation. That’s the beauty of subtext.
But, for me, the most compelling evidence so far is that, even though Quinn has only dated guys, she has yet to be passionate about any of them. She easily put off sex with both Finn and Sam, and it really seemed that both of those relationships were more about status in the social hierarchy at school than about the actual guy. Finn, part 2, was clearly an attempt for Quinn to win prom queen and set herself up for the depressing, peaked-in-high-school life that she felt was her destiny.
Some could argue that she must have wanted Puck, but Season 1 made it clear that it was a one time only (drunken) mistake that Quinn would have forgotten about if not for Beth. I’ve always thought it was odd that she went with the hot tub story with Finn when it would have been so much easier to just have actual sex with him one time. He’d have never known the difference, and neither would Puck. I know it was done for the joke of it, but still…she obviously didn’t want to have sex with Finn at all.
I never believed that she really wanted Puck either, or why not have sex with him after she was already pregnant and living with him? Even this season, she only wanted sex with him during her crazy period so she could have another baby to replace Beth.
For purposes of my writing, I tend to go with gay because I haven’t seen her want a guy, so it’s easy to imagine that she’s only emotionally attracted to what a guy can give her right now - security, stability, and social acceptance. But I like to think she’s both emotionally and sexually attracted to women - and especially to Rachel.
I love you for writing this.
NO MORE CANON NEEDED TO SUPPORT THIS (even though there is so much more).
